Circular Materials Verification and Matchmaking (CMVM) Platform integrates long-lasting circular pavement design and verification mechanisms. By combining steel aggregates (from the steel industry) and reclaimed materials, it can replace up to 80% of the usage of natural sand and gravel. These pavements offer both flexibility and rigidity, and they have already been demonstrated in applications such as the Formosa Plastics Corporation Renwu Plant and Kaohsiung Intercontinental Container Terminal. Field tests have shown that the durability of these pavements can increase by more than 5 times compared to traditional methods, resulting in a reduction of over 70% in carbon emissions. This approach delivers economic, environmental, and carbon reduction benefits.
